Model History and Information: The Cat® CB-13 is a 13-metric-ton tandem vibratory roller used for asphalt compaction in road building, with two vibrating drums 2000 mm (79 in) wide that deliver smooth, uniform compaction. A Cat C4.4 engine drives a Versa Vibe vibratory system offering multiple amplitude and frequency settings so the roller can be tuned to thin or thick asphalt lifts from a single machine. Caterpillar offers the CB-13 with an enclosed, sound-suppressed cab for operator comfort on cooler or noisier jobsites, as reproduced on this 1:64 scale model. The smaller scale places the closed-cab CB-13 in Diecast Masters' Play & Collect range alongside other compact replicas.
