Model History and Information: The Cat® 395 is Caterpillar's largest Next Generation hydraulic excavator, introduced for high-production bulk excavation, quarry loading, and mining support work. It is a 95-tonne machine powered by a 540 hp Cat C18 engine, with maximum digging depths from 23.7 to 38.5 feet depending on configuration, reinforced booms, sticks, and undercarriage for heavy-duty durability, and can run a Cat SD bucket rated at 5.2 cubic meters (6.8 cubic yards). Like other Next Generation excavators, it shares common parts and extended, synchronized service intervals to help lower ownership costs.
