Model History and Information: Introduced in 1996 to replace the D6H, the Caterpillar D6R carried the elevated-sprocket, high-drive undercarriage of its predecessor into five model variants beginning at 165 horsepower, and it was built for grading, spreading and general dozing on construction and site-development work. Caterpillar's authentic Cat trade dress and Machine Yellow paint scheme, unchanged in its basic layout since the elevated-sprocket generation began in 1986, are reproduced on this diecast-metal 1:64 model of the D6R, which is fitted with a dozer blade and a multi-shank rear ripper matching the full-size machine's rear attachment.
