Model History and Information: The Cat® D10T is part of a large track-type tractor line Caterpillar has built since the original D10 of 1977-1986, the first dozer to use the company's elevated-sprocket high-drive undercarriage design. The D10T carries that design forward as a large track-type tractor for high-production dozing and ripping in mining and heavy earthmoving, powered by a Cat C27 engine. The D10T2 update that followed improved power and fuel efficiency over the original D10T while keeping the same high-drive undercarriage. This 1:50 scale model in Diecast Masters' Core Classics Series reproduces the D10T track-type tractor.
